Air con condensation leak?
« on: June 12, 2019, 08:10:22 PM »
Hello,

I have just noticed the floor of the passage side got wet and Iíve seen online that a few people have had the same issue? Does anyone have any ideas? Or fixes?

If it's coolant you have a leaking heater core, if its water /condensation there will be a drain hose come out of the firewall somewhere in the engine bay (passenger side) and point down, it doesn't connect to anything, it'll be blocked. Poke a bit of wire up there and clear it out.
PRADO  a toyota it is, a suzuki it aint.

Update...I took some photos where the water is coming from, has anyone had the same issue?

The leak is coming from the foam ring around the bottom of the unit.

On the other side of that foam seal should be the drain, Just a matter of making sure the drain is not blocked causing that basin to become overfilled... I would look at that first and go from there.

Found the hose connection on the engine side...for some reason it does some bizarre 90 degree turns...up and then back down on the drivers side. Surly that canít be right...Iíll have my mechanic put it on the hoist on Monday and see if he can change that.
