This Sunday 11th Feb we are running an easy day run from bellthorpe through to jimna where we will stop for a swim and club provided lunch.
Non members are welcome to attend and it is suitable for all 4x4 vehicles.

Please confirm your attendance so we can cater for everyone.

Meeting at 8am at wamuran BP/shops on the daguliar hwy.

We are no longer combining the Feb club meeting with this run, it will be Tuesday night at the Tavern as per usual. Sorry for any confusion

We'll need a good idea of actual people numbers so we can be sure everyone gets a feed.
in case there is anyone out there with food sensitivities... menu is:
Roast chicken & salad wraps with choices of mayo, garlic mayo, sweet chilli.....or all 3 if you are up for it like we do on Fraser cheers
Just bring your own drinks!

We'll stick to Tuesday for the meeting,  there's not a lot of member attendance for the run and I don't want to keep changing back and forth.

It was a good run today. 8am start and about a 6pm finish by the time I got home. I managed to get a couple of pics.

Here is Couchman showing us that it's more about the driver than the vehicle.

I like the idea that showing up with the least capable vehicle makes for a much more interesting drive than showing up with a monster truck.

To ensure we got a bit of recovery practice one of GVs (driver name redacted to protect the guilty) purposely got stuck on flat ground.

All hands on deck to help with the recovery. It was a treacherous situation with the vehicle on the brink of destruction.

And here's the full crew supervising.

I don't know whether others noticed on departure but we avoided a pretty big storm. No doubt the 41C reading on my thermometer had something to do with the cumulonimbus clouds.

Thanks to the organisers for a nice run that included a cool swimming hole full of yabbies and a yummy lunch.

Here's the trip,
remember Zuk94 and I had to bail and go home from lunch, so from the lunch location the group backtracked to Conondale and we pushed on into the valley of hot as buggery - (the heat hit me like a ton of bricks soon as we got off the range) anybody got pics of the swim/lunch?
