For Sale/Wanted / Suzuki Sierra 1Ltr - at the Coominya Dump
« Last post by *VMAX* on November 30, 2019, 01:40:06 PM »
Hi Guys,
Was out at the Coominya dump today (Sat 3rd Nov 2019) and there is a 1 Ltr Sierra there.
It seems to be missing the windscreen, carb, front diff and wheels but otherwise its mostly there.

Definitely still has the engine, alt, gearbox and transfer case.

So if you're chasing some 1lt Sierra stuff (and don't want to buy mine!) then head out to Coominya dump and grab some parts.
The tip guy there is a nice bloke and in my opinion unlikely to ask extortionate money for any parts you take.

I wouldn't delay if I were you, as the dump is pretty full at the moment and they tend to crush and move stuff on when it gets like this.

Welcome, sorry for the slow reply, to be honest most of our traffic is now based on our Facebook page.

It sounds like youíve found yourself a nice little gem! There arenít too many Zooks in original form, most would have had their factory stereos ripped out many years ago so a wreckers might be your best bet. Iím not sure what brand or model it would be but my Ď87 still has the original and itís a Clarion cassette/radio.

Hi Guys. New to the forum.
I have just bought an 89 soft top with 73 k on the clock one owner. Needs a tidy up so going in to be re sprayed back to original metallic grey.
Will get the front seats re done as well back to original. Itís fitted from the dealer with bull bar, tow bar and roll bar. I am looking for an original radio if anyone has one.

Not sure how to put up photos

Nice work, thanks for the pics, I've got a fibreglass canopy as apposed to the soft top but could probably work around it.

Here's one I built a million years ago.

Soft top was still useable, but a bit of a pain if you were taking it off on a regular basis.

Hi mate
For under body protection (unless you like playing with welders and grinders) talk to Darren (forum name Tanshi). He supplies fuel tank and transfer guards through his ADD engineering persona.

For racks/baskets... it can be done, similar to the Jeep ones. But again requires some welding and grinding. Because the Soft top b pillar and windscreen have very little strength, a support down to the tub or rear bar at the back and the cowl just in front of the windscreen are recommended.

Just wondering if it's possible to fit roof racks/baskets to my 91 sierra soft top. Also looking for advice for under body protection etc and where we can get some. Any help appreciated
Sorry for the slow response... Congratulations on deciding to keep another Suzuki on the road. Did you find a reputable mechanic? Just be careful with backyard jobs, sometimes cheap is nasty. Jimmy motors are fairly common so you shouldnít have trouble finding one.
Iím not sure about panel work - if itís the front quarter guard itís all bolt off - bolt on. For mechanical work, Northside thereís Boland Auto Electrical or Suzi Sport, mid to Southside thereís Suzi auto or Dr Suzuki.
